Composition:

Gelling fiber dressing is a soft, sterile, sheet dressing mainly composed of hydrophilic fibers ( sodium carboxymethylcellulose ). It is irradiated and sterilized for single use.

Mechaism of action:

1, It is dry fibrous before use.

2, The fibers swell after absorbing wound exudate, forming a soft cohesive gel that adheres tightly to the wound base. This creates a wet healing environment and reduces "dead space".

3, The gel structure effectively locks in exudate and harmful bacteria that are absorbed into the dressing, reducing the risk of cross-contamination during maceration and dressing changes.

Application: 

Gelling fiber dressing is suitable for acute and chronic wounds of moderate to severe excudation, and can also be pre-wetted before use on dry or mildly excuding wounds.
