Negative Pressure Wound Theray System

Negative Pressure Wound Theray Device

1, What is negative pressure therapy (TPN) for wounds?

Negative presure wound therapy (NPWT) device known as a wound vacuum pump to aid wound healing, also called vacuum-assisted wound closure, refers to wound dressing systems that continuously or intermittently apply  subatmospheric pressure to the system, which provides a positive pressure to the surface of the wound. So that NPWT has become a popular reatment modality for the management of many acute and chronic wounds. The suction from the machine removes extra drainage from your wound and brings the sides of the wound closer together. Rainhome NPWT for wounds promotes the growth of healthy tissue by increasing blood flow to the wound. Negative pressure therapy also reduces bacteria that cause infections. They will teach you and your doctors about your Rainhome machine for specific wounds, alarms, and dressing changes.

2, Mechanism of product

With the help of negative pressure pump exhausting air, the negative pressure will be produced in NPWT drainage bottles and wounds so as to have a condition of negative pressure to treat the wound. The device could generate continuous or dynamic negative pressure and form a condition of negative pressure in accordance with the requirements of the setting in the wound. In the end, the mechanism of negative pressure on the wound will ultimately promote wound healing.

3, How dose it works?

Rainhome NPWT system involves a NPWT device, a disposable canister 140ml/450ml, a dressing kit including a medical black/white PU foam, tubes with the pad, 2pcs adhesive film, I/Y connector and clip to collect fluids.

Firstly, the layers of foam dressing will be fit to the shape of the wound, then the dressing will be sealed with adhesive film.

Secondly, the tube with the pad is attached on the foam dressing and then it leads to a NPWT device and canister where exudate from the wound is absorbed. The acuum pump can be set so that it is ongoing, or it starts and stops intermittently.

Thirdly, Rainhome NPWT machine collected fluid and infection from the wound, which helps pull the edges of the wound together. It promotes the wound healing to make the growth of new tissue.

4, How to use the NPWT device

1; How long will NPWT take to heal my wound?

It depends on a number of factors that includes your general health, the size and location of the wound, and your nutritional status. It is best to ask your doctor what you should expect.

2; Can I take a bath?

No. Bath water can infect a wound. Also, the dressing on the wound can become loose if it's held under water.

3; How often is the dressing changed?

If in the hospital, it needs to follow the doctor's advice. And in most cases, it should be changed 2 or 3 times per week. If the wound is infected, the dressing need to be changed more often.

5, Scope of application

NPWT device is merely used by the hospital or family to conduct ordinary negative pressure suction for patients, not suitable for abortion.

Application:

· Full thickness wounds

· Chronic wounds

· Venous Ulcers

· Diabetic foot ulcers

· Neuropathic Ulcers

· Bedsores

· Acute wounds such as dehiscent surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, and other open ulcers that may improve when treated with NPWT.
